Psalm 1:1-2 - “[BOOK I : Psalms 1-41] Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com. Copyright (C) NIV. All Rights Reserved.

MIssion of the First United Methodist Church Joaquin
Members of the Methodist Church gladly minister to our entire community, bringing the good news of God's love made known through Jesus, by witnessing the Gospel, sharing our lives, and being committed to the welfare of the others. We strive to be a church where love is an action and not just a word.

Randy Smith, pastor of FUMCJ will bring the message. A collection will be taken during the service for Joaquin Christian Services. Halloween Party Big Success
The Church Halloween Party was a big success. The party was Sunday in the Memorial Garden. Families set up "trick or treat stations" at the picnic tables and the kids went all over the garden collecting treats. There were also games, face painting, tattoos, and other activities.
After the kids collected plenty of candy and other treats everyone roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. There was plenty to eat and everyone seemed to have a really good time. See pictures of the party under the tab called "photos." Clean Crew Day, 11/1/08
Every month church volunteers come on a Saturday and clean the church buildings from top to bottom. Anyone can be a proud member of the "Clean Crew" just by showing up and helping for one hour. See you then! Joyce May's new Candle/Gift Shop
Our next door neighbor, Joyce May is opening her new candle/gift shop on October 1. Joyce makes her own candles and they are without a doubt the very best candles I have ever used. She also creates gift baskets and other gifts. Go by her shop (next to her house) and see her many creations. MILDRED MITCHELL'S NEW ADDRESS
