Randall Smith - Pastor

        Randall Smith has been pastor at FUMCJ since 2001.  Before becoming pastor at FUMCJ he was pastor at Melrose United Methodist Church and Simpson Campground United Methodist Church.  Being a minister is a second career for Randy who was a principal and teacher in the Joaquin ISD for thrity-two years.  He is married to Sue Smith who teaches English at Joaquin High School.  He has two children.  Megan is a CPA and lives in Dallas.  Jacob is a graduate assistant at SFA.

                Jason Gill is the web master of the website for the FUMCJ.  He keeps the website updated and posts the prayer requests as they come in. He is also the Financial Secretary and usher at the church.

                     Madeline Gill is a licensed counselor who works for the Child Advocacy Center in Center, Texas.  She serves as counselor for FUMCJ.  She is director of the Youth Group and Vacation Bible School.  She heads up the Scrap Booking Club that meets on the third Saturday of the month at the fellowship hall.  She is also a Sunday School teacher.    

             Pat Pate completed Lay Speaker training in February and is a Lay Speaker.  Our church is blessed to have two lay speakers-Mona Brandt and now Pat Pate.

     The Scholarship Committee raises monies to provide scholarships to local graduates.  Since the Scholarship Fund was established FUMCJ has given over $50,000 in scholarships.

      Applications can be picked up at the High School Counselor's Office.
